It all started:

1981: Randy & Karen Sowers begin farming...
Started by renting farm from Everett Moser and 100 milk cows.

1989: Purchased beef herd & tornado strikes the farm, taking off roof of calf barn.

1991: Built chicken house where we housed 110,000 laying hens.

2001: South Mountain Creamery is built and opens its doors in April 2001. We begin home deliveries in May 2001 with 13 home delivery customers.

Tony & Abby Brusco welcome Gabriel Micheal Brusco, the first grandchild in July 2001.

2003: The Sowers' son Ben gets married to Kate Miller.

2004: Ben & Kate Sowers welcome Samuel Dwight Sowers in Feb 2004. Tony & Abby Brusco welcome Sophia Isabella Brusco in June 2004.

2004: South Mountain Creamery breaks record: 1000 home delivery customers, in a 50 mile radius of our farm, a dream come true!

2006: The Sowers and Brusco families are recognized as the Large Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Ben & Kate Sowers welcome Jereamiah Douglas Sowers in July.
